Permission to Burn & Gate Codes

The Tallahassee Fire Protection District (TFPD) is the official government agency responsible for permitting and regulating all controlled burns and instituting fire bans within the District. All controlled burn requests made by property owners or residents must receive prior approval. PERMISSION IS REQUIRED BEFORE BURNING! 

Please make sure we can reach you by phone or check your email regularly, in case we need to contact you regarding your burn request. 

DO NOT BURN WITHOUT PRIOR APPROVAL. The cost of responding to fires initiated without prior approval may be billed to the owner or resident who failed to obtain the necessary authorization.
